| Tip of the Week: Getting the lowdown on a website with "WHOIS" |
From time to time you may want to know more about a website, like who actually owns it, how long has it been existence and where exactly is it located before you decide to do business with or otherwise believe the information posted at the site. One of the "librarians" of the Internet is a company called Network Solutions who has a handy little feature called a "WHOIS Search" that will give you the official details of any website you are curious about!

Most of us have learned that buying a neutered mouse (no tracking ball) that uses an optical sensor to track movement is much more reliable and eliminates the need for periodic cleanings of the tracking elements. But you may have quickly noticed that they don't do real well on glass tables or other surfaces that don't reflect light very well. The obvious solution: make sure you have a mouse pad so that the optical sensor can track properly.
This is all well and fine as long as you don't have a mouse pad that has a shiny surface with lots of variations in the colors. If you find that your new optical mouse jumps around a lot, try using a different mouse pad that is one solid color with a matte finish!
