Next time you want to close a program (or shutdown your system for that matter) try this nifty keyboard shortcut: Alt-F4! Sometimes that mouse is just out of reach and you need a way to 'kill' that task without the reach, so next time give this tip a try!

One of the most annoying things that happens in Word 2003 (and other applications for that matter) is that the full menu options are not shown until a short delay. You can turn this feature off and show all the items in a menu dropdown by following a few simply steps. In Word, click on View | Toolbars | Customize. Select the 'Options' tab and uncheck 'Show full menus after a short delay' and place a check in 'Always show full menus'. Click on Close and your headwhack is no more! NOOP: NOOP (short for No OPeration) is an assembly language instruction, sequence of programming language statements, or computer protocol command that does nothing at all (besides wasting CPU clock cycles). - Also, in the travel industry, the abbreviated form for 'Not Operating', used in computer reservations systems. In other words, the flight is not operating because it has been removed from the airline's schedule, or has been canceled.
