Headwhack of the Week: Disable the Language Bar |
Ever notice this funny toolbar in the lower-right corner of your taskbar?
This is the Language Bar used for voice recognition, accessibility, and non-english input. If you are an english speaker and typer, you have no real need for this bar, and it gets in the way. To diable it:
- Click the little down arrow on the toolbar
- Select Settings…
- Click the Language Bar button
- Uncheck the Show the Language bar on the desktop option
- Uncheck the Show additional Language bar icons in the taskbar option
- Click OK twice
No more language bar!
