| Tip of the Week: Update Holidays in Outlook |
If you are using the 2003 version of Outlook (not Outlook Express), you may have noticed that not all holidays are in the calendar in future years. Microsoft published an update last year that will update the calendar for all holidays from 2007 through 2012 here.
| Headwhack of the Week: What changes were made in my document? |
Those that exchange Microsoft Word documents with others for contract negotiations, legal proceedings or for any form of collaboration are often faced with comparing the original document with the most recently updated document in order to understand what changes where made. OR if you want to remember what changes you are making to an older document, this week's Headwhack solution is here to assist!
A very helpful tool in Word allows you to track changes to the document no matter who made the changes. The next time you plan on e-mailing a document for someone's review and update, click on the Tools menu, then on "Track Changes" (or Ctrl-Shift-E if you prefer keyboard shortcuts).
If you want to make sure that the recipient can't turn off the Track Changes option, click on Tools, Protect Document and choose "Tracked changes" in the list of editing restrictions. Next, click Yes, Start Enforcing Protection and enter a password to keep it real!
