Tip of the Week: Tips for Windows user using a Mac

It's happening more and more often for long time users of the Windows operating systems; you get stuck behind the keyboard of a Mac and are completely lost.

More households are using both operating systems or switching over completely.

If you are in any of these categories, getting some tips for newbies would be helpful, so that's this week's tip!

Headwhack of the Week: What was that Adobe shortcut???

The number of useful programs from the folks over at Adobe continues to grow:

Acrobat Reader, Flash, Photoshop and Illustrator are just a few of the 12 applications that are in the new "cheat sheet" Adobe Shortcut App and best of all, it's FREE!

 

Geek Speak of the Week: Banding

Substandard printing that generates extraneous lines in a printed page. This is usually caused by improper alignment, or clogged nozzles in the print head.

Security: Facebook disables 6 rogue phishing apps

Facebook on Thursday said it had disabled six rogue apps that were stealing Facebook users' log-in credentials and spamming people, and within hours more appeared.

News: Radisson Hotels report significant data breach

Add the Radisson Hotels & Resorts chain to the growing list of businesses reporting significant data breaches that exposed sensitive customer data.

In an open letter to guests, Radisson chief operating officer Fredrik Korallus said the hotel chain's computer system was hacked between November 2008 and May 2009 and customer data, including credit and debit card numbers, was stolen.

News: Sony's OLED TVs on hold

Nobody, least of all Sony, ever said it would be easy to start cranking out OLED TVs. It doesn't help matters to be in a financial crunch.

So it should come as little surprise that according to a report in Tuesday's Wall Street Journal losses in Sony's TV division are driving the electronics giant to put a hold on future OLEDs TVs.
