Tip of the Week: Quicker text searches in Firefox

Often times we search for a specific word on a specific website when we are on a quest for information.  A simple change to a Firefox option can make searching for a word on any page much easier:

Click on the Tools menu, then on Options, the on the picture of the gear that is labeled Advanced (top right).  Make sure you are on the General tab to see the option for "Search for text when I start typing".  Once you put a checkmark on this option and click the OK button, you can just start typing anytime you are on a website to get Firefox to start a word search (it eliminates the need to click on the Edit menu, then on Find or the Ctrl-F hotkey).
