Tip of the Week: Flip 3D in Windows Vista

Windows Vista was created with many new visual improvements over Windows XP such as Aero Glass (for all versions except Basic) but one of the most unknown features is the new way to review what windows you have open.  Flip 3D isn't going to change your world, but it is a cool trick to show your non-Vista friends when they come over.  Flip 3D is accessed by simply pressing the Windows logo key+Tab key instead of the old school XP way of pressing Alt+Tab.

Whether you are hard of hearing or listen to your MP3 player while you are on your computer, you may not hear warning sounds that are assigned to various system functions in Windows.  For those that seem to be missing these warning sounds and would like a visual alert to accompany the sound, there is a solution!

Both Windows XP and Windows Vista incorporate a feature called SoundSentry, which will cause various items to either blink or flash to provide a visual cue that a warning message has been generated.  For step-by-step instructions for activating and configuring SoundSentry:
