Tip of the Week: Printing CD/DVD labels & case inserts in Word

Burning CDs and DVDs has become a regular part of our digital lives and most of us are happy to grab a Sharpie and make some marks on the disc when it's ready.  For those that want to step up their disc burning game, you can purchase special CD/DVD label paper or print basic disk case inserts and print them using these free Microsoft Word templates.

If you think that your laptop seems to run a little slower when you're running on batteries, you may not be imagining things.  By design, many laptops are designed to "throttle down" the processor speed in order to conserve battery life, especially as the battery gets to half power or less.  Whenever you want to ensure that your laptop is running at it's highest performance, plug it in!

To demonstrate the threats from botnets, the BBC purchased a network of 22,000 infected computers, used it to spam its own e-mail accounts and for a denial-of-service test, and then left messages on the hijacked computers that they were infected.
