Open an attachment

Question

How do I find the program to open files sent via email attachment when you get the popup that you need a file to open it and you don't have it? For instance how do I open an "bmp" file.?

This question was answered on October 27, 2003. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.

Is very easy, but you need to now what kind of file you are trying to open with. If a bmp file then open with paint program. If is a "doc", then open with Microsoft Word.

Now if you don't have the program then you need to dowload the program In order to see it, but remember never open an attachment after you already Scan it for virus.
