setup file on desktop

Question

Sometimes when I download a program and then install it from the desktop, it leaves the "setup" or "exe." icons on the desktop. Can I delete those?

Once you have installed the applications you no longer need the setup files, unless you wish to save them for future use. After you have finished running the setup from the desktop and the application has install successfully, you can cut the setup files and move them somewhere else on your system or you can simply just delete them - this should have no impact on the program that you have installed.

Just make sure that when you are installing the program(s) thatyou are not installing it the desktop, as this will place all the files on your desktop and clutter your screen.
