How to backup the registry?

Question

I visited the symantec website to try to get rid of the w32.beagle virus. After disabling the system restore, I tried to backup the registery as per their instructions. They said to do the following:

click Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Backup

Well, there is no option for backup on my system tools. Where do I find it on XP?

(Symantecs directions are for NT/2000/XP - but they do not work!)
