Tried safe mode?

Question

I have gdisk.exe on my desktop and want to delete it.

However I am not allowed to do this... "this file in use by another program...etc."

I tried diagnostic startup through msconfig. I still get the same message.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks, Dave Evans, Scottsdale

Dave Evans:

Try booting into Safe Mode and deleting the file. When booting into safe mode your system is booting up with minimum amount of files. Most likely you will be able to delete the file whie your in Safe Mode. If not press ctrl+alt+delete look through your processes tab and see if the file is running or if there is a process running that uses that file., if it is end the process and then delete the file.
