What is wrong with my docking usb port?

When I plug in the docking port for the HP digital camera into the usb port the computer acts like its conflicting with something. It speeds up then slows down then locks up a little then speeds up again. What causes that and how do you fix it. This is the 3rd time I have seen this happen to people with docking ports for there cameras.

Your problem may not be your fault. It could be a problem that HP didn’t notice happened with their docking port when it got released. What may solve your problem is to go to www.hp.com and see if they got some new drivers for the docking port because it sounds like a driver issue to me and maybe if you can get any new drivers that may be available; it may help your issue.
