what is TCP/IP?

Question

I upgraded from windows 2000 to xp. Once I did that, xp won't let me select dial up to connect to the internet. I query the modem in hardware settings and it is fine. How do I fix this?

you may need to set your TCP/IP settings

1. click start; control panel; network internet connections

2. internet options; connections tab

3. click set up and follow the wizard
