I have been told it is not necessary to load SP2 unless I'm on a network. I have received the the CD's. I'm on the internet for email and do my banking. I have McAfee virus and firewall which I maintain the updates. What is your opinion? Thanks Judy Bozman

You should always stay abreasted of the current patches and down loads available for your operating system.

so yes you should in stall the neccessary updates as it keeps you system current, and protected against vulnerabilities.

when prompted for automatic updates click yes or enable automatic updates.
