To record any type of file (data, text, image) onto a CD-R blank disc, you need a computer, a CD-R, or CD-R/CD-RW recorder, and a special computer program referred to as authoring software. When you purchase a CD-R recorder, either separately or as part of a computer system, authoring software is usually packaged with it. This authoring software allows you to record digital data, audio, or images onto blank CD-R (or CD-RW) media. Typically, authoring software comes with disc creation 'wizards' and onboard help menus to help you successfully record your digital files.
One example of authoring software is Easy CD Creator. To learn more about it, visit the Roxio site at http://www.roxio.com/en/products/ecdc/ecdcfeatures.html</p>
CD/CD-RW writer manufacturers and authoring software providers offer excellent resources via their online support where you can learn more about digital recording.
