Doom 3/Far Cry problem

Question

When I play games: Doom 3/Far Cry, the system will go directly back to the desktop, sometimes in 10 min, sometimes in 1 hour of playing, it's never the same.

Sometimes it shuts the program down, sometimes it minimizes it.

This question was answered on June 2, 2005. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.

After installing windows update service pack 2 certain programs behave differently. According to Microsoft Far cry version 1 is one of the games that are affected by SP2. I would also assume about doom 3 as well.
