What do I do if there is not signal from the tower to the monitor, mouse or keyboard?

Please help.

I am experiencing some computer problems. I am unable to get a signal from the tower to the monitor or to my mouse and keyboard. Is it possible that the lithum battery on the motherboard needs to be replaced. Or is it possible that I have fried my motherboard on my pc? Or could I have gotten a virus?

This question was answered on September 16, 2005. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.

Try to do a reinstall especially the CPU to keyboard, mouse and monitor; if this does not work, then I would do a BIOS diagnostic check. The results of the BIOS test could make the corrections or find the problem. If you cannot do this, it can be done by a computer store or a professional that knows how to perform this service.
