What is Winfixer and how do I remove it.

Question

Help in removing Winfixer or WinFixer. Continually tries to install itself, very sneaky. Now showing up in taskbar. Search brings up nothing. Spyguard, zone alarm, AVG...all either don't find it, or do find it and "remove" it, but back it comes. Internet search on remove winfixer finds hundreds, literally hundreds of people with the same problem. Shows up also on desktop. Has made all desktop links not work. Sometimes with browser window open, Winfixer 2005 website appears out of nowhere. I wrote for help before, but no one answered. ANy help would be appreciated. IMO this is a good one for Ken's weekly column (which is fantastic). Thanks for your help.

Yes, you are right; there is a lot of info out there on this one It sounds to me like it is definitely an Add Ware. Mal ware program that you do not need. I looked at a couple of sites that offer programs to remove it and picked the following site link as a good option. Go to this link - http://www.remove-winfixer.com/ and read about it and see what you think. It looks like you will definitely need one of thes programs to safely remove this problem. This site gives a couple of options you can try first through control panel/add remove programs before you download and use there product.
