How do I up date my memory from 128 mb to 512 mb?

Question

Hello,

I bought a cheap desktop the other day to put in a kid's room that came with only 128MB of RAM and has shared video and sound. I bought 2 sticks of 512 to put in it but I found that the 128 stick runs at 2.5V and the 2 sticks of 512 run at 2.6V. Will this still work or do I need to exchange the 2 sticks for that which will run at 2.5V?

Thanks for your help.

You should read and check the motherboard documentation that came with computer. This will tell you if you can up grade to 512 mb. The slots on the motherboard can only run memory cards with the right pin combination. From the documentation you will know if you can use the memory card to upgrade or to return the 512 memory sticks.
