Video card.

Question

My cousin's computer won't boot up. The tower comes on but nothing comes up on the screen. I've tried different power cords and a different monitor. He was told that the motherboard was going out on it but I don't think that's the problem. The fan kicks on and it sounds like its operating fine. What could be the problem?

It could possibly be a bad video card. Swap it out for another and see if the problem is still there.
