slow computer and keyboard is not working

Question

My computer was very slow, so I tried some tweaks from tweakxp.com. from then, my control key on my keyboard dosent work. all other keys are fine. please help

This question was answered on March 10, 2006. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.

Make sure that the keys are clear from debris or obstructions by unscrewing the screws and opening up the keyboard and checking underneath the keys. Use compressed air to clean your keyboard. If the control key is still not working then your keyboard is going bad and needs to be replaced soon anyway.

Did you try all of the simple things to speed up your computer?

Defrag

scan disk

disk clean up

delete temporary files

Remove programs in start up

Delete virus or spyware that slows down your computer, install free ad aware only.

Update and run ad aware weekly
