Can't install on XP

Question

I cannot seem to install software from CD or DVD on WinXP.

This is a vague question and a little more information is needed. Was this a problem has happened more than once? Is there an error message? The same experience recently happened to someone I know, a quick reboot solved the problem entirely. If the problem is recurring, it could be anything from a software conflict to loose connections inside the PC. If you continue to encounter the problem, it might be a good idea to have a professional take a look at it if you aren't comfortable with computer hardware.
