Switching to a new comp?

Question

buying new computer. How to get all my programs and data from old computer to new ones. Old Emails, Favorites,programs, address book. What is the quickest way to do this.

Well if your upgrading to Vista, there are tools to transfer over files and favorites. If your going to XP and you want to make sure you can get backup program such as norton ghost. However the best way is to burn your data to Cd or DVD rom. This way if your new computer crashes you already have a backup. However most programs will need to be reinstalled with the orginal CD or setup.exe
