Can you give me step-by-step instructions for re-formatting my Hard drive?

Question

I emailed gateway tech support and I have yet to receive an answer after a week. Can you give me a step by step process on how to reformat my hard drive and install the drivers for the drives or tell me where to find the info?

I also have a Gateway G5-166 machine, not a laptop. I found that by calling their Gold Premium Support at 1-800-555-3002, they are more than happy to help. The process is lengthy and can extend (in my experience) 2 to 3 hours.

You first have to Fdisk your hard drive, and clean everything off of it. Then you reformat the hard drive. I use only one drive as the active primary drive, for simplicity. I then install the operating system Windows 95. Then when windows 95 is installed, I install the display drivers from my Gateway System CD. I use the ATI Rage II+ (Direct Draw) drivers. Do not restart when asked, and then install the audio drivers on the System CD. I use the Ensonig PCI drivers. Do not restart when asked. Then the mouse drivers, and keyboard drivers, and the UATA drivers. Now, finally restart your computer to finish the installation process. This should do it, but if it doesn't work right you can always call a tech at Gateway at 1-800-555-3002.
