Can you save Excel files in other file formats?

Question

Is it possible to convert an Excel roster into a word or WP document? Excel help and Word help don't help me much. (The people I want to send it to do not have Excel).

I really enjoy your radio show.

Here is what Microsoft says about saving Excel files in other file formats. If you choose to save an Excel file as a text file that could be opened into word processing programs it would probably look very different as the graphics and formatting from Excel would not be supported. Try it with a practice file and see what happens.

In Microsoft Excel, if documents are saved to a foreign file format such as Text or the Lotus WK1 format, the Save As dialog box will be displayed when you choose Save from the File menu.

MORE INFORMATION

The Save As dialog box displayed when you choose the File Save dialog box to remind you that the file is not in the Normal file format. This data integrity feature is intended to ensure that changes made to a document are saved in the appropriate file format.

Many of the formatting features in Microsoft Excel, such as graphic objects (in versions 3.0 and later), and borders and shading, are not supported in foreign file formats. As a result, certain formatting and other changes may be lost when you save to these formats.
