Why is computer memory hanging?

Question

although i hv a 512mb ram my computer still hangs while working on it

even if i were watching a movie it would hang in between

for instance if were to leave the computer unattended

the screen saver wud come up and after 10mins it wud hang

wat could be the reason?

The possible reason that your computer hangs can be that you do not have enough memory and/or you are trying to run a big program that uses a lot of your memory at one time. You can try to add more ram to your system and also try not to run a lot of programs at one time, like games, and other programs that take a lot of your memory. Those are the possible reasons why your computer hangs.
