Blank Screen after a new Video Card?

Question

Bootup will continue to Windows Logo screeen. Then monitor shuts down with blank screen. However, it will complete bootup to Windows desktop in Safe Mode and in VGA mode. What is the problem and how do I fix it. Thanks!

This question was answered on April 30, 2008. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.

The best answer I can give you is go into safe mode and goto the display settings and change the resolution to the lowest settings possible. Then go to device manager and uninstall all of your display adapters. After that is done, restart your computer and it should find the best possible driver. You can upgrade them from there.
