My scanner and Digital Camera are no longer recognized

Question

I am having problems with my scanner and digital camera not being recognized by computer. The scanner is a Epson perfection 1670-it acts like it is communicating with the computer fine, when asked to scan it functionally works (the light comes on and it completes scan) but no image appears. I've reloaded software and this did not help. I have also changed pictures but nothing seems to be recognized?

The camera is an Olympus SP-500UZ and though it tries to download when asked, the computer states it does not recognize any camera? Could these be related problems? Possible USB issue? tks

I think you have 2 separate issues; it sounds like a driver issue on the camera, I had the same problem and had to go to the Olypus web site to download a fix for the issue, as for the scanner problem, it sounds like the scanner is just bad and needs to be replaced.
