A glass was accidentally dropped on my tower what can I do?

Question

hi. one day i was doing school work and i accidentally dropped an empty glass on the tower. then the monitor went blank and since then it stays blank. i thought i had damaged the hard drive but i switched with another one from another computer that i have but the monitor was still blank. i tried connecting and reconnecting all the wires already but doesnt work. it must be a motherboard problem. what do u suggest it could be?

Well I am sorry to hear about this. There are a few things the problem could be. First, if you have another monitor laying around try connectiong it to your computer to see if it works. If it does not, it is probably the motherboard port where the monitor plugs into. Also, if your familiar with the inside of your computer open it up and make sure that the video card is securely fastened in its slot. It's a possibility it could have been jarred loose. It really is most likely to be one of these two things.

Good Luck!
