Buy one of them they sell. Trust me from personal experience you almost have to use one of their modems because they register the modem to your address and your account. Plus if anything goes wrong people at cox have a troubleshooting guide for every product they sell so they should always be able to help you out. If you do have your own already call them and see if it works for the service your getting.
