Question
I recently moved and now I don't get any sound out of my computer with speakers or headphones and I went through the "Windows Troubleshooting Wizard" with no results. I have also updated all my drivers, what else should I do?
Why do I not have sound coming from speakers?

AnswerThis question was answered on June 20, 2007. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting. Make sure your speakers are plugged in and turned on. There is usually a little light on the one with the amp in it that will go out if they are unplugged. Also make sure the volume control knob on the speakers isn't turned all the way down. Go into Control Panel, and in Sounds, make sure that the Mute box doesn't have a check in it. You can also try make sure your sound card driver is properly installed. If not go into Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager, and delete it and reboot so it can auto-detect. If you don't see the little sound icon at the bottom of the screen, go to Start, All programs, accessories, entertainment, control, and unclick mute all. Hope this helps.
