AnswerThis question was answered on June 21, 2007. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting. Windows Media Player (WMP) needs a codec to play videos. Meaning unless you buy a program like Intervideo, you won't be able to play DVDs. Easiest fix is to download VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/). It plays nearly every video file that you can imagine.
