Hey there you can always try reinstalling your Windows XP before purchasing any new components. You need to hit delete when your computer first boots up of it also might be an F key such as F5. You will need to have your windows disk in then select boot from CD in your bios to start the installation process. A clean Windows install could very well fix your issue, you may also want to have a diagnostics check done at your local Data Doctors or other computer support store. Good Luck!
