Why wont my computer boot up?

Why is it that my computer won't turn on? I hit the power button and the light flickers for a moment before shutting itself off.

Hello there this can be several things but most likely this is a hardware problem with either your motherboard or hard drive. You can try replacing them however this can be difficult without knowing exactly what the problem component is in your computer. You can also have a diagnostics test done at your local Data Doctors or similar technical support computer store to more accurately hone in on the issue before purchasing any new hardware components is my best suggestion. Hope everything works out.
