Why is my computer not detecting a boot device?

my computer is not detecting a boot device? What should i do?

This question was answered on November 27, 2007. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.

This can be a little tough make sure that the device is attached correctly to your motherboard, and also that the correct boot device is selected in BIOS; you can change it by using delete to enter bios when your computer boots up. Good Luck!!
