Data Recovery

Question

Is a hard drive salvagable when it's been in a flood? I,m not concerned about the computer just the ability to retrieve info. from the hard drive or is it a goner too?

Answer

This question was answered on September 8, 2007. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.

Most likely the hard drive is toast. Do not attempt to plug it i until it has completely dried for a few days.

I would recommend taking it to a specialist before you do anything.
