Bug fix posted for the IE 5.0 "Download Behavior" bug!

Microsoft has posted a fix to the "Download Behavior" bug found in Internet Explorer 5.0 that we alerted you to on 9/29/99

This question was answered on October 20, 1999. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.

The fix is in! Microsoft has posted a bug fix on their web site for the Java based problem that we reported in September. When you go to the update page choose the (x86) version of the patch if you have an Intel/AMD/Cyrix processor. The patch has been posted at:

Following the prompts will download a small program to your hard drive. Be sure to keep track of where you download the fix so that you can run it afterwards!
