display problems with monitor

Question

Color on the monitor is muddy looking and I have a wavy line from top to bottom on one side of my monitor. I do not have a degauss button. How can I accomplish degaussing my monitor without the degauss button, or is my problem something else?

If you have a wavy line on the monitor at all times you more than likely have a failing monitor. If you have access to another monitor (friend, work) try plugging another monitor into your machine and seeing how the video looks. That will let you know for sure if it is your monitor that is going bad.
