Why can't I print from the Internet??

Question

I received a new compaq computer for Christmas and I'm having trouble printing material. The printer will start to print and then an error message comes on telling me the computer has lost connection and that I should cancel printing and shut off the printer and try again. But, when I do, it does the same thing. I always happens when I try to print material from the web. I usually can print from a document.

I don't think your printer is the problem being how it works fine with other print applications. You say it always happens when you try to print from the web, is it at a particular website or from any website? Also, have you noticed does this happen at the same time usually? There could be different reasons for this: What browser are you using? IE or Netscape? What version? I suggest that you try reinstalling and/or upgrading the Browser and also check your all of your connections, Modem, cables, etc. Sometimes unplugging and then plugging back in, can fix a problem. Check and make sure your Internet settings are okay.
