Why does my computer crash when going on-line

Question

when my computer goes on line after installing windows xp it crashes and beeps

this is a older computer that newe motherboard and processer from anther computer was installed. also a new modem also why?

This question was answered on February 11, 2003. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.

The most logical answer that I could up with by reading your computers profile is that your system does not have enough memory to run XP. The bare minimum to run XP is 128 mb (you have 64) but it requires 256 mb to run efficiently.

Get at least 256 mb of memory and your computer shouldn't crash when you go online.
