Answer

This question was answered on June 9, 2003. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.

This error is related to the computer floppy drive.

CAUSES:

floppy cable not connected properly.

bad floppy cable

bad floppy drive - I/O

SOLUTION:

Verify that the floppy disk drive cable is properly connected and set up.

if floppy disk drive appears to be set up properly and the light is not always on it is possible that the floppy drive cable may be bad. therefore, visit a local computer hardware store and purchase a new cable.

If issues still persists then it is most likely that either the floppy drive is bad or the I/O board or motherboard is bad. If you are not sure of what you are doing then it is recommended that you contact the computer manufacturer. And have it serviced by them.
