How to stop standby?

Question

when i start my computer my monitor stays in standby mode.the p.c. is a brand new machine.i thought maybe it might be the monitor but it works fine on the old p.c. i`ve got.any suggestions would be welcomed.

well it could be that you have the setting ont the P.C for stand by as soo as you logon.check the settings on the computer.
