Having a problem Defraging computer?

Question

After I click on Maintenance Wizard, the defrag starts. It goes upto 3%, returns to Zero and this cycle keeps repeating even if the PC is left on for over one hour. My Computer has slowed down a lot.

This is happening since 2 weeks, first timein the past 4 years.

Please tell me what is causing this problem and how I should over come it.

This question was answered on October 16, 2003. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.

Make sure your screensaver is turned off and nothing else is running. If anything is running during defrag it will stop defraging and restart.
