For some reason I cannot get onto www.amazon.com. The home page partially loads and then stops. I have checked with my neighbors who use the same pc and isp and they have no problem. Any help would be appreciated.

I would check your security settings especially if you have XP SP2 installed the settings are probably set to block cookies, popups etc and somtimes this will prevent some web sites that require these things to be available not to load and work.

Go to Start - Control panel - network and internet connections - internet options - select the privacy tab - from this tab select sites button in this window add the web site for amazon.com then click on allow this will allow cookies for this site then click on OK for this window This will bring you back to the internet properties window with the privacy tab still selected - at the bottom of the page is an option to turn on pop up blocker- ( I recommemd this be turned on), once on select the settings button this will bring up a window that will allow you to ad the amazon web site to the allowed sites that will not be blocked by pop up blocker Once you have added the site close that window then click on apply then Ok from the internet properties window Then retry accessing the web site Also if you have third party pop up blockers you may have to set them to allow this site also.
