As time has gone on, the use of botnets to spread viruses, malware and especially spam has grown to epidemic proportions.
The ways in which "bot herders" infect unsuspecting Internet surfers has become much more sophisticated and the ability for botnet agents to hide from anti-virus and anti-spyware software is progressing as well.
