Beware Uber Hackers

As you probably know, one of the reasons that hackers hack is to sell what they steal on the dark web.

Most assume that stolen credit cards are one of the most valuable, but that’s not actually the case.

Two of the more valuable things being sold on the underground markets are Paypal accounts with at least $500 and believe it or not, stolen Uber accounts according to security firm, Trend Micro.

Apperantly, being able to use Uber for ghost rides is something the underworld values, but the info may also help build a profile for identity theft.

If you’re a regular user of Uber, make sure to review your purchase history regularly.

If you setup an account and don’t really use it, be warned that deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account.

In order to actually delete your account, you’ll need to contact Uber’s support group and request the deletion.

I’ve posted the link to request deletion at DataDoctors.com/radio
