My computer has been locking up for the past 3 days. I have no new hardware or software added. After locking up I reboot the system and have had right after start up an error message
IRQL NOTLESS THAN_OR_EQUAL TO pop up several times. Is there an easy fix for this or is my hard drive trash?

I think this error generally occurs when 2 or more hardware devices(sound card, graphics card etc.) try to use the same IRQ channel You can check by going to the Device Manager and viewing items by connection A way to solve this is by physically moving your soundcard to a new slot...apparently it isn't a good idea to have your soundcard and graphics cards next to each other Other possible causes are out of date drivers for your cards Make sure these are up to date too Hope that helps.
