HP Recalls Notebook Battery Packs

HP has announced the recall of 135,000 notebook battery packs, based on reports of overheating and even melting.

The battery packs can be found on certain HP Pavillion, Compaq Presario, HP Compaq, and Compaq Evo notebook computers.

There have been 16 reports of overheating, no injuries, and 4 incidents of minor property damage.

Consumers should stop using the batteries immediately and contact HP for a free replacement through the website or by fine.
