I've done a few video projects using pictures and video and adding music all by using the Windows Movie Maker program. The files end up as *.wmv files which work fine on my PC. However, I would like to burn the projects to a CD so that I can play them on my DVD player in the family room. From what I can see, somehow I need to convert the .wmv files to .avi files so that I can burn them into a VCD. What is the best way to do this? I can see where I can burn the projects to a DVD but their total size would be less than 5% of the capacity of a DVD so the disc would be mostly wasted empty space. I'd rather use a CD for this purpose. So far I cannot locate any information about converting these files to .avi files.

Any tips, hints, or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Jack Bertch
